“Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we’ll ever do.”

- Brene Brown

Hello, I’m Lena

I am a licensed clinical social worker with a history of working in community mental health, the public school system, residential and partial hospital programs. I emphasize a mind-body approach to healing and am deeply passionate about journeying with my clients as they reclaim greater ease, joy, and expansiveness in their lives.

I come to this work, as so many do, through my own struggles with mental health and chronic pain. Specifically, Pain Reprocessing Therapy, EMDR and Yoga have been instrumental in my own healing process while recovering from chronic migraine and anxiety. I am committed to doing my own inner work and view it as an imperative to being able to hold space for others with presence and compassion.

Aside from my credentials, training and specializations, I am a human, being human. Continuously learning, unlearning and trying to have as many belly laughs along the way. I love yoga, a good book, stand up comedy, walks in the woods with my dog, and an epic friday night dance party with my kids and husband.

Your body has more innate wisdom than all of my training combined.

I strongly believe in dismantling the eurocentric and pathologizing model of therapy that is disempowering and harmful. I aim to join you on your healing journey, embracing the totality of who you are, welcoming and allowing all parts to exist. I use an integrative approach that centers an inviduals lived experience and the need for felt safety above all else.

I believe…
